And the winner is...

...CARTER from Kinneret!

There were 91 yarn balls in the jar, and he guessed 90. This soon-to-be 5th grader won the entire jar of yarn balls at the close of our Week 7 contest. He promises to share some with his younger sister, but is waiting until camp ends to unseal the jar. (I hope I counted correctly!!)

The contest was open to any camper who came to Knitting either with his/her bunk or during Chugim. Carter was the envy of many campers on Friday, August 8, 2008, the day the contest ended.

Thank You to the 120+ campers who participated. It was a lot of fun for everyone who made a guess.

CONGRATULATIONS to Carter!

UFO's Become FO's at Knitting

Knitting Projects continue to Flow off the Needles. In Knitting, there is a commonly used acronym called a "UFO," which stands for Un-Finished Object. As Week 8 comes to a close, those UFO's are quickly turning into "FO's," better known as finished objects!

Natalie discovered self-striping yarn while knitting her change-purse.

This camper learned to combine knit & purl stitches to create a "fancier" bookmark.

Come "Kibbitz with Kibbutz," but don't forget your knitting!
